Do you feel like you are trying to run your business but there are a few parts and keys missing? That is, the keys to make it run and produce? Well you are definitely not alone. Lets think about franchise businesses for a second, in particular, the most successful franchise business in the world, McDonalds. There are many ways we can compare home based network marketing businesses to a McDonald franchise. Ray Kroc was the man (genius) who founded McDonalds all of those years ago. His first genius step was who he aimed his marketing towards. His mission was to sell his franchise opportunity to franchise/business buyers not the general public. The franchise buyers were then the ones to sell the hamburgers to the general public. Any light bulbs flicking in your head at that thought? Do you market your opportunity to the general public or to other business owners? Ray Krocs thought was that more franchise businesses open = more hamburgers sold. It may seem fairly simple but it worked. We must think no differently as network marketers. We must use the technique of selling our business opportunity to others and then together market our product to the consumer. The thing that is hard to understand is how did McDonalds become so successful when it sells food that really sucks! It goes against all we have learnt in business up until now. This really is part of the genius who is Ray Kroc. He knew its not selling the products that will make your business a success. It's the system that will ensure business success. Products come at the end.......then you need to give them EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT. The initial selling is in the SYSTEM. Ray Kroc knew his food wasn't the best in the marketplace. He also knew that other franchise buyers didn't care about the food. All they were interested in was making $$$$$. So, from this, we need to learn that we need to sell business owners EXACTLY what they want, which isn't a product (pill or drink etc) but a machine (SYSTEM) that attracts customers and turns them into cash. We need to market a system that others can just plug themselves into. Mr Kroc didn't sell the franchisees burgers, he sold them a system! All they had to do was turn the switches on, the system would do all of the hard work. As McDonalds became the empire it now is the end product to the customer was not just burgers. It became the atmosphere and predictable expectation which was provided by the "machine". So think, what are you selling to your potential buyers? You probably have tons of websites and records about your company's history, profits, ORAC values etc. I could go on and on and on couldn't i? You need to do what Ray did. You need to ensure you solve other peoples problems in order to get rich. Don't make their problems bigger by just pitching to them your opportunity. As Mike Dillard (founder of Magnetic Sponsoring) said; products and compensation plans don't make you rich. You need a system that provides you the keys that generates your customers (ads), sells your products (marketing) and then of course delivers the goods. The system must be duplicatable. Duplication is the key. People will find comfort in being able to plug into a system they know will work for them because they have seen it work for others. All you should need to do is turn the switch, push the GO button. The machine should do all of the work for you (ads and marketing). Remember the system is what is duplicatable not you. Solve the problem and they won't care about price points, ORAC values, competition etc. Sell them the system that they want. Prospects are joining my team daily because I have a system which sells them what they want. One that produces results consistently. The other important point is not to try to put your opportunity or products up and compare them to others (eg, mine is better because......,the problem with BLANK is that.......).
