Your job is to ascertain if it can get you to your vision, and if you believe it can (and you will KNOW in your gut - and that is what you need to learn to trust), then your job is to take action on this idea. Even if it's scary, inconvenient, or more expensive than you had planned. If that "little voice" is screaming at you that this is an amazing opportunity or coincidence, PAY ATTENTION! It may not ask you twice!

5) Let Go, Trust, and Let it Come To You!

Once you start taking consistent action on your plan and with your inspired ideas, don't look back! Keep moving forward, knowing you are making the best decisions you can every step of the way, with the knowledge and wisdom you currently have, and whatever happens, is there to serve you.

Know that things may not always turn out the way you think they "should" but that they always turn out in a way that will move you forward if you allow it to. Problem is, when we label things as a mistake or failure, we have instantly closed the door to learning HOW they can serve us. When we don't learn in these situations, we don't move forward.

Setting Up a Home Office For a Home Based Business

If you own a home-based business, having an appropriate work space is critical to your productivity. Depending on the nature of your business, your office could be anything from a small computer cart on a closet, to a full room complete with meeting area and library. But whatever you choose, it's important to do some planning prior to buying furniture or storage.
First, clarify your needs. Do you spend a lot of time at the computer, or do you spend more time meeting clients or producing product? If you're a consultant, you may need to bring clients in to your office regularly; this would necessitate having a seating area for two or three people. If you're a writer, you may only need a desk and a comfy chair in a quiet corner. The most important thing is to decide whether you need a full room or not, and where in the house it should go. Generally, a room away from the main flow of traffic is best, and one with good natural light all year is especially good. If you don't have the space to dedicate an entire room (I sure don't!), using a spare bedroom, dining room, or other similar light-use room can work fine.
Second, you need to figure out exactly what type of work will be done. If you write, you may spend most or all your working time at a computer, necessitating the need for a very good desk and chair, and proper storage for a myriad of computer equipment. If you produce hand crafts to sell, you'll likely spend time both on the computer and creating your product, so you'll need a computer workspace and an appropriate production space, complete with storage. If you're a consultant who meets with clients regularly, you'll need a good, clean computer area with a professional, comfortable seating area. These are just examples, but the important thing is to know exactly what will be going on in your office so you can properly furnish and arrange it.
Finally, you need to decide your furniture and storage needs. A large corner computer desk with plenty of shelving and drawers and a comfortable ergonomic chair may be perfect for someone who does a great deal of computer work, and needs to reference books, magazines, or other paperwork regularly. A small computer desk with just enough space for electronic devices, a large work table, and a good chair to use at both would work well for someone who produces their own goods. Storage products are quite varied, with everything from large drawer and shelving units, right down to small fabric boxes and bowls for small items. Make sure you consider what you frequently keep in your office and need to have at hand, and what you use less frequently and thus can be stored away from your workspace.
Setting up a home office can be easy or difficult, depending on how you approach it. It can also be made more difficult and stressful if you don't take the time to plan ahead of making purchases. If you spend some time considering your needs, you can prevent headaches and difficulties down the road when you realize your space just isn't working.

How to Write a Business Thank You Note

One of the best things that you can do to grow your virtual assistant business (or your circle of friends) is to learn the art of writing a thank you note. On a practical level, writing thank you notes is just plain good manners, and people like to be a appreciated. On a more metaphysical level, you get back what you give - -and thank someone is a great way to give.

Usually, there are two things that stop people from writing thank you notes. The first is lack of time or inability to get to the post office to mail the card off. I used to have this problem until I started using Send Out Cards -- a greeting card service that allows you to compose and send real life greeting cards from your computer. Once I signed up, my excuses for not getting cards in the mail evaporated. The system even allows you to use your own handwriting -- and colored ink. Don't go overboard with this -- blue or black are your best bets.

Work at Home Moms Create Entrepreneurs

Work at home moms do much more than create an income. They also quite often create entrepreneurs in their own children.

When my daughter was just 13 or 14 she came to me and told me she was interested in opening an IRA account. She knew about IRA's in two ways. Being a work at home mom myself, I had an IRA account since I didn't have any other type of retirement benefits. It was a term she was familiar with. In addition, she had a friend whose father was an accountant and so he also knew the term. Today, my daughter is 26 and has had money in this IRA for over ten years now. Imagine when she's 65 how that money will have grown.

Here are some additional ways that work at home moms can teach the art of being an entrepreneur to their children:

1. My children have learned that there are always many options available out there. There is not one right answer for everyone. Some people sell books and other people sell music. My children have learned that just about anything can be turned into a product or service-based business.

Having the flexibility to work your own schedule is a luxury that not everyone has.

7. Making decisions, whether right or wrong adds to the overall self confidence of an individual. My kids have seen me make a decision that needed to be changed. However it's my decision, not a boss's decision or a company's decision. Both of my kids are able to make decisions in most any situation.

Work at home moms very often find joy in watching their own children use the skills taught to them in childhood to create their own businesses and become a second generation of entrepreneurs.

As I look around, our world is overflowing with people launching into home-based businesses and solo-preneurship. They're all chasing the dream of being their own boss, making a living doing what they're passionate about, being free of the chains of a job, being in control of their own future, having more time freedom and flexibility to live their life the way they want, spend more time with their children and "have it all."

I firmly believe the vast majority of these people get into business with the best of intentions. And I also believe most of them are good at what they do and have the ability to help a lot people with their products and services.

Problem is, it takes more than a dream, good intentions, and following your passion to succeed in a home-based business. There's a reason the new business failure rate is clocked at 90+% in the first few years.

There's actually a pretty simple reason the failure rate is so high.

OR

Take a look at any commercial website online. Go ahead and do a Google search. You'll find tens of thousands of digital products for sale, complete with convincing sales letters as to why you should buy the site's product.

Now, what if I told you that those products weren't really owned by the vast majority of those websites? What if I told you that most of the owners of these websites were just simply buying resale rights to already existing high quality products, then rebranding them and selling them as their own?

If I told you that, I wouldn't be lying, because it's true.

So how does it work exactly? Quite simply, some people will create a product and sell a "resell licence" to it to a limited number of people, usually one hundred or so. Whilst the product itself remains the same, these people who purchase the "resell licence" are free to rebrand the product with their own name and their own logo, and sell it as their own. Then, when the consumer comes along, they look at the product, thinking its original, and they buy it.

Some of these sites will overprice the product by sometimes twice, three times, or even ten times its original value. The best thing of all however is that you can do this too, and it's perfectly legal (provided you obtain the "resell licence").

All you need is a website, a domain name, and a product to sell. You can even find a lot of these resellable products online free, with complete sales letters. Simply set one of these sales letters up on your website and recruit an army of affiliates to market the product for you and voila - you're your own digital product merchant who makes money from home on autopilot.

You didn't need to pay hundreds of dollars to hear this useful tip did you? Oh no. But it works. This online business strategy is so simple, so easy, and is the roadmap I use to make real money, but the reason you won't hear about it from the "gurus" is because it reveals the exact same business strategy that they use to make money from home.
