Even if it's scary, inconvenient, or more expensive than you had planned. If that "little voice" is screaming at you that this is an amazing opportunity or coincidence, PAY ATTENTION! It may not ask you twice!

5) Let Go, Trust, and Let it Come To You!

Once you start taking consistent action on your plan and with your inspired ideas, don't look back! Keep moving forward, knowing you are making the best decisions you can every step of the way, with the knowledge and wisdom you currently have, and whatever happens, is there to serve you.

Know that things may not always turn out the way you think they "should" but that they always turn out in a way that will move you forward if you allow it to. Problem is, when we label things as a mistake or failure, we have instantly closed the door to learning HOW they can serve us. When we don't learn in these situations, we don't move forward.

If you produce hand crafts to sell, you'll likely spend time both on the computer and creating your product, so you'll need a computer workspace and an appropriate production space, complete with storage. If you're a consultant who meets with clients regularly, you'll need a good, clean computer area with a professional, comfortable seating area. These are just examples, but the important thing is to know exactly what will be going on in your office so you can properly furnish and arrange it.
Finally, you need to decide your furniture and storage needs. A large corner computer desk with plenty of shelving and drawers and a comfortable ergonomic chair may be perfect for someone who does a great deal of computer work, and needs to reference books, magazines, or other paperwork regularly. A small computer desk with just enough space for electronic devices, a large work table, and a good chair to use at both would work well for someone who produces their own goods. Storage products are quite varied, with everything from large drawer and shelving units, right down to small fabric boxes and bowls for small items. Make sure you consider what you frequently keep in your office and need to have at hand, and what you use less frequently and thus can be stored away from your workspace.
Setting up a home office can be easy or difficult, depending on how you approach it. It can also be made more difficult and stressful if you don't take the time to plan ahead of making purchases. If you spend some time considering your needs, you can prevent headaches and difficulties down the road when you realize your space just isn't working.

One of the best things that you can do to grow your virtual assistant business (or your circle of friends) is to learn the art of writing a thank you note. On a practical level, writing thank you notes is just plain good manners, and people like to be a appreciated. On a more metaphysical level, you get back what you give - -and thank someone is a great way to give.

Usually, there are two things that stop people from writing thank you notes. The first is lack of time or inability to get to the post office to mail the card off. I used to have this problem until I started using Send Out Cards -- a greeting card service that allows you to compose and send real life greeting cards from your computer. Once I signed up, my excuses for not getting cards in the mail evaporated. The system even allows you to use your own handwriting -- and colored ink. Don't go overboard with this -- blue or black are your best bets.

The second (and bigger) reason that people don't send thank you's is that they simply don't know how to write them. Use this 6 point outline and you will be writing your thank you notes with ease.

When my daughter was just 13 or 14 she came to me and told me she was interested in opening an IRA account. She knew about IRA's in two ways. Being a work at home mom myself, I had an IRA account since I didn't have any other type of retirement benefits. It was a term she was familiar with. In addition, she had a friend whose father was an accountant and so he also knew the term. Today, my daughter is 26 and has had money in this IRA for over ten years now. Imagine when she's 65 how that money will have grown.

Here are some additional ways that work at home moms can teach the art of being an entrepreneur to their children:

1. My children have learned that there are always many options available out there. There is not one right answer for everyone. Some people sell books and other people sell music. My children have learned that just about anything can be turned into a product or service-based business.

2. My children have learned about customer service. Sales are all about relationships and customer service. Because I've been a work at home mom since my kids were born, they've always been exposed to someone striving for excellent customer service.

Having the flexibility to work your own schedule is a luxury that not everyone has.

7. Making decisions, whether right or wrong adds to the overall self confidence of an individual. My kids have seen me make a decision that needed to be changed. However it's my decision, not a boss's decision or a company's decision. Both of my kids are able to make decisions in most any situation.

Work at home moms very often find joy in watching their own children use the skills taught to them in childhood to create their own businesses and become a second generation of entrepreneurs.

As I look around, our world is overflowing with people launching into home-based businesses and solo-preneurship. Now, what if I told you that those products weren't really owned by the vast majority of those websites? What if I told you that most of the owners of these websites were just simply buying resale rights to already existing high quality products, then rebranding them and selling them as their own?

If I told you that, I wouldn't be lying, because it's true.

So how does it work exactly? Quite simply, some people will create a product and sell a "resell licence" to it to a limited number of people, usually one hundred or so. Whilst the product itself remains the same, these people who purchase the "resell licence" are free to rebrand the product with their own name and their own logo, and sell it as their own. Then, when the consumer comes along, they look at the product, thinking its original, and they buy it.
